I'm sitting here in my DECA class and I just got done filling in my classmates on everything DECA. I can't wait for DCDCs to start. This is a very exciting time in DECA, and it's fun to see all of your hard work pay off.
I am working on many different projects right now, as well as competition prep.
Outside of DECA, I am preparing for volleyball season and my dance performance. That's right... dance. I'm getting a little tired of waiting to find out where I'm going to college. Hopefully I will find out before too long.
I hope your DCDCs go really well. Be prepared for anything to happen, and don't forget to have fun!
DECA LOVE,
Wesley
Well, hmmm. I can't wait for DCDCs, competition is my favorite part of DECA (besides being a part of Team 59 of course!) :)
We performed Seussical back in November, and we are compiling a shortened version for the elementary students and performing it on March 2. We get to read in their classes too! My pink fro will soon be back in action.
I also got accepted at Mizzou, which is really exciting! I'll be in their journalism school.
Good luck to all of you at your DCDCs!
I just had another Chapter Presidents Meeting, which went pretty well. Ice skating for my district is this Saturday! T-shirts for my district are coming along perfectly! I am working on my Community Service Project for competition which is dur TOMORROW! AHH! I have my fundraiser for DCDC's all planned out! So right now DECA is wonderful!!
Other than that, I'm going to Mizzou for sure, and I do nothing but homework and DECA. Sounds great, huh? But I can't complain!!
Talk to you all real soon!

Well, my life is grand just about now. The District 8 CDC is approaching, my chapter community service project is perfected, and school is getting progressively easier. I am finalizing plans for the DECA Dodgeball Tournament and other community service projects. I really am excited for the State CDC in March, as I'm sure all of you are!
In other DECA news, the iClick t-shirt samples just came in, and they turned out great, and my chapter has been rapidly designing t-shirts to sell, including: the District 8 shirt, the Latin Club shirt, and the school store Staff shirt.
Outside of DECA, my life has been fairly interesting as well. To counter the Animal Rights club, my friends and I developed an alternative meat-eating "Carnivore Club" at Ladue, which has stirred up quite some controversy. We made these bright Cardinal Red shirts that say PETA on the front, and on the back, People Eating Tasty Animals, Ladue Carnivore Club and a pretty funny drawing. The Animal Rights club is all up in arms. The Carnivore Club drew over 200 members, making it the largest club in the school, in less than 10 days. We're planning multiple BBQ's and a wing-eating contest, which should be fun. Other than that, I've been going to a lot of school hockey and basketball games and partying it up with friends.
Also, I'd just like to mention that in order to get a significant amount of Voter Registration Cards for the DCDC's you'll probably have to contact the Missouri Secretary of State, since local counties, like St. Louis County, have a limited supply.
I received a Voter Registration Form Request PDF from Ken Murdock. He can be reached at 573-526-5413 if you have any questions.
I'm missing you guys already, I can't wait to see everyone again. Until then, keep in touch.
DECA Love (as Wesley puts it),
Tony Digrispino
I pity the State Action Team member who hasn't read that update. Tony you are my hero.
Tony I love it.
DCDC
Wow, organization is key when holding a DCDC at a new location. We didn't have that. But it still ran smoothly. Half of my district left early because of Snow, including my school. Tear. A bit of advise to anybody having penny wars, have at least $200 of pennys on hand for people to trade in. Right now my district is doing part 2 of the fundraiser T-shirts. We raised roughly 250 on the penny drive. we had a hypnotist at the DCDCs. IT was fun.
Well, Tony is amazing. What's new? ;)
Anyway, life is stressful in D3. Districts are tomorrow but we haven't been in school since Monday. I am unsure if all 20 of our schools will be able to make it tomorrow, but I am hopeful! I am in two events so it will be a very busy day.
Unlike Tony, school is not getting progressively easier. Instead, I am getting progressively more apathetic and thus falling behind. Not good. So I spent my snow day yesterday doing Calc and Stats.
Also, I received an unexpected scholarship offer the other day so now college decisions have become difficult yet again. To think, I am complaining about scholarships!
Anyway, hopefully life will settle down soon - but probably not! I hope everything is wonderful for you all and I cannot wait to see you in just over a month!
<3 Kristin
Ok sorry I got cut off yesterday, So PART 2 OF POST
the totals for the penny drive are in 440. YIPPIE!!!!!!! MY DISTRICT BEAT THERE RECORD!!!!!
I have been like Kristen lately, becoming more apathetic as each day goes by. I have been accepted, have good scholarships, and well I like to have fun doing DECA stuff so I have been falling behind in AP Calc, even though my grade is still a nice B.
We are doing the show brigadoon coming up hoping to get best set design over all for the second year in a row. Sorry kristen, Elise, and Jake, your schools are going down.
Our D1 shirts are being sold right now in our schools. WE make 3 dollars per shirt sold. Our goal in 200 shirts. to add 600 dollars to the total $$$. Good luck to all at there DCDCs. I am going to get back to my DECA hour.
Steve
